What to Watch For:
This is one of the more polarizing positions on the roster. On one hand, there was a youth infusion that received significant playing time due to injury and lack of depth but are Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike the future at the position? I don't think so. This is not to say they won't be on the roster or play major roles in the future, but the Titans still need that complete alpha dog receiver. I think Elic Ayomanor is best served as your WR4, playing a similar role to what Nick Westbrook Ikhine used to play and Chimere Dike obviously has a role as the returner but I think he can be useful as a deep threat/gadget player that you manufacture a few touches per game.
Personally, I would not cut Calvin Ridley unless you pay big money towards George Pickens. Even than I would consider keeping Ridley as the WR2 to make the WR room more of a strength. This year was a disaster for him but he started to come on some just before his injury. I think you know what you have in Mason Kinsey but I think he should be cut or just left to the practice squad and James Proche will be 30 at the beginning of next season, so I think he probably should be cut as well. It will be interesting to see what they do with those 2 + Oliver and Jefferson, as I personally think you should let them all walk outside of Ridley, Dike and Ayomanor, while letting Restrepo work on the practice squad and earn a depth role.
The draft is where things get interesting, as the WR position is one of the deepest in the draft. To me, Jordyn Tyson is the best and most complete WR prospect since Jamarr Chase but the injury history complicates things. I think the moves with the current players and what they do at the position in free agency will go a long way in determining whether they decide to go WR or EDGE in the 1st round. Keep an eye on mid round guys like Chris Bell, Skyler Bell and Germie Bernard as well.
The only WR's that I consider paying good money are Pickens, who could be eliminated due to culture building, and Alec Pierce, whom you would also be weakening a divisional opponent. The rest don't move the needle a ton or are older and don't really fit Cam's timeline. This will all depend on the coaching staff as well, as a guy like Deebo Samuel could be really useful in a Mike McDaniel type system. I would look to Pickens or Pierce and draft Tyson, as of now. A room consisting of Pickens/Pierce, Tyson, Ridley, Dike, Ayomanor gives Cam Ward a wealth of weapons and turns what was once a weakness into one of the strongest rooms in the league, in my opinion.
