How The Titans Should Attack The Offseason (Part 1)

For years, one of my favorite things about the NFL has been the offseason. I love evaluating college players, identifying team needs, and watching how rosters take shape. There’s nothing better than that “I told you so” moment when a player you vouched for turns into a star—no matter how many others you missed on.

As a die-hard Titans fan, I’ve become more involved in Titans Twitter, fan groups, and discussions over the years. While Titans Twitter can be frustrating, we all share a passion for the team and a desire to see them return to football relevance. After years of disappointment, I’ve decided to take things a step further by launching this blog to share my thoughts on the Titans.

With the legal tampering period starting tomorrow and free agency heating up, now feels like the perfect time to put together a plan for how the Titans should attack the offseason.

Of course, no one outside of the building knows exactly what Mike Borgonzi and Chad Brinker will do, but one thing stood out to me in their introductory press conference—Borgonzi emphasized finding “culture builders.” That theme will likely appear throughout this piece.

Some big-name free agents are already off the board—Ronnie Stanley staying with Baltimore, Geno Smith heading to the Raiders, Myles Garrett’s extension, and Davante Adams landing with the Rams. With plenty of surprises still to come, this is my take on how I would approach the offseason as the Titans GM.

Check back in coming days for deeper dives into our options on O and D.
