Top 3 Options at 35 for Titans

The next 10-15 years are set at QB for Tennessee after last night's draft. We all knew it was coming (at least should have known). I think Cam Ward is an elite QB prospect but for now, we need to figure out how to build a team around him. I know a lot of people want us to go with a WR and there are some great options available but it seems as if Borgonzi wants to go BPA route, which in my opinion is the best way to go with our roster state. If you look at the roster, there are only 4 guys who are "irreplaceable" and would hold you back from drafting someone else at their position outside of Cam Ward - that would be JC Latham, Peter Skoronski, Jeffrey Simmons (barring a trade) and T'Vondre Sweat. The roster needs an infusion of talent at pretty much every position. We won't fill every need this offseason but if we bring in the best and most talented players, that will be a start.
I want to start by saying that if we can trade down and acquire a 3rd round pick today, that would be ideal but it may not be possible because it takes two to tango. The board is set up well enough in my eyes to trade down 10-15 spots and still come away with a very good player that can start immediately and that is my #1 best case scenario. If we stick and pick at 35, that means we should have 3 players on our board to start the day and I'm going to list my top 3 players below!
RB TreVeyon Henderson (Ohio St)
Running back is a position we are pretty well set on with Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears but with Tyjae having been unable to stay healthy and Pollard having a great season but we have an out with only $2 million in dead money after this season, I could see an investment in the RB position. I think the class is so deep, that they may pass on Henderson just because we can find someone to contribute later. Henderson is the #1 player left on my board and would immediately surpass Spears as the RB2 and challenge Pollard for RB1 status going into next season. With the combination of explosiveness, ball security and pass protection, he would give someone to take immediate pressure off of Cam Ward right away and a safety blanket that can turn nothing into something if a checkdown is needed.

S Xavier Watts (Notre Dame)
The Titans didn't force their first defensive turnover until Week 4 and didn't get their first interception until after the bye week. The Titans need playmakers on the defensive side of the ball with a -17 TO differential on the season. Over the last 2 seasons, no one has forced more turnovers than Watts. He has 13 INTs, 2 FF, 2 FR and 13 PD over those 2 seasons. He has a nose for the football and a defense that makes big plays and puts the ball back in Cam Wards hands is only going to benefit the team going forward.

WR Luther Burden (Mizzou)
Getting Cam Ward weapons is key. I think that was part of the demise of Will Levis, as well as the backbreaking TO's and OL. The Titans need to get guys around him that can make plays and Burden can do that. Burden was a 5 star recruit and top 5 recruit in the nation and followed that up with production. He had 86 receptions for 1212 yards and 61 receptions for 676 yards the last 2 seasons. He's the type of guy that you just get the ball in his hands and he makes plays. Cam Ward excels in the screen and short pass game as well and I think this could make a great fit!

Honorable Mention:
EDGE Mike Green
An explosive EDGE rusher that has top half of the 1st round talent but character concerns left him off the list.
EDGE Donovan Ezeiruaku
Another explosive EDGE rusher that has a crazy motor but is a little undersized.
CB Will Johnson
A top 10 talent on many boards, a chronic knee injury seems to have him sliding down boards. With the Sneed situation last year, it's hard to take that risk again.
T Aireontae Ersery
A borderline 1st round talent on my board, he is not an immediate need with the Moore signing and Latham at RT but he could be elite when the Moore contract is up.
WR Jayden Higgins
The Titans need a big bodied WR and Higgins fits that mold. He would be the big possession WR that the Titans need and he has sneaky speed and separation.
